I am a full Professor of Sun Yat-sen University (SYSU)  and Fellow of IEEE/IAPR/IET. My research focuses on the following aspects:

  • Machine Perception and Learning
       — General Multi-modal Understanding; Holistic Image and Video Parsing; Cross-modal Content Generation
       — Representation Learning; Foundation Models; Reinforced Agent Learning; Causal Inference and Reasoning
  • Embodied AI Models
            — Digital Avartar; Human Machine Interaction 
       — Vision-Language-Action Models for Robotics; Long Range Task Planning
I am supervising the HCP-I2 Lab: Human-Cyber-Physical Intelligence Integration, SYSU.
